Have you ever heard of...

…The Deutscher Wachtelhund?
Or maybe better known as the German Spaniel?

The Deutscher Wachtelhund is a muscular, strong boned gun dog. This medium size breed has a stunning wavy, long thick coat. Their solid build is needed their line of work, allowing them to retrieve heavy game. They were bred in Germany for the sake of a great hunting dog and will match the retrieving ability of any other breed and will excel at tracking and trailing larger game. It’s believed their scent ability is like that of a Bloodhound

Males will generally grow between 45 – 55 cm and females can reach up to 52cm. They are quite a rare breed, with many pure blood lines still in Germany, but this beautiful looking dog cannot be underestimated, their hunting ability is outstanding.
