Is grass on your menu?

Many dogs enjoy the taste of grass and it's common to hear of them snacking on it throughout the day. Dogs are Omnivores & most diets available don't meet their needs. To supplement this some dogs will have a bit of  a feast on your turf. Other will eat grass to purge their systems if they have an upset stomach. They will generally swallow without chewing, using the prickly stalks to irritate their stomach lining, causing them to vomit. So if you find small amounts of bile & grass vomit around, it's nothing to be too concerned about - but if it continues, it's always best to consult your vet.

A True Giant

The Great Dane is a sweet creature but somewhat misunderstood. Although they are a towering breed, reaching up to 86cm, the Dane is a laid back, docile dog. They are affectionate, gentle with children & very much people dogs. Their exercise agenda is average, though they do enjoy it they also love their creature comforts. They require a highly nutritious diet to support their large build but a solid food resigme is required to avoid bloat. Grooming is simple with their short, dence coat and they are a great addition to any family - as long as you can afford to feed a small horse!
